2012 NCAA Bracket: Texas Lands In East Region, Could Face Florida State

If Texas can survive their first game against Cincinnati, the East Region will be filled with challenges for a young Longhorns team who would essentially be playing with house money.

In the second round, they would face the winner of No. 3 seed Florida State and No. 14 St. Bonaventure.

The Seminoles won the ACC Tournament, beating UNC and Duke in the process, and they are one of the biggest and most athletic teams in the country. The Bonnies snuck into the NCAA Tournament with a run through the C-USA Tournament, and they're led by a potential NBA draft pick in 6'9 senior PF Andrew Nicholson.

Down-the-road, the East Regional features No. 1 seed Syracuse and No. 2 Ohio State, two of college basketball's premier programs.
