Eight chambers from the Capital Region will travel to Washington, DC on Tuesday, June 5 to meet with members of New York?s Congressional delegation.
The representatives will meet with the members of New York?s Congressional delegation promoting regional collaboration while advocating for enhanced transportation, workforce development and sustainable economic development in the Capital Region.
Participating chambers include: Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber, Adirondack Regional Chamber, Chamber of Schenectady County, Chamber of Southern Saratoga County, Colonie Chamber, Columbia County Chamber, Rensselaer County Regional Chamber and Saratoga County Chamber.
The chamber representatives will be meeting with several member of New York?s congressional delegation including Senator Charles Schumer, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, Congressman Paul Tonko and Congressman Chris Gibson, along with Governor Cuomo?s Washington office.
The representatives will talk about improving access to Albany International Airport and added service to both corporate and leisure travelers, employment and training services; reauthorization of transportation funding; as well as regional planning to long-term sustainable economic growth.
