Prepare yourself by focusing on submitting to the process willingly. Inspire yourself Remove anything that feels restrictive like clothes or jewelries.

Some prefer to have some background meditation music. Find one that will favor your preferences. A good alternative to meditation music are rhythmical sounds like the flowing water, chirping of birds just like how it is done by Mantra Meditation.

Meditate in a spot where there is seclusion, tranquility and the sense of security and comfort.
Take a comfortable sitting stance like a lotus position. If it is difficult for you, find another sitting position that is comfortable and relaxing. Make sure that the back is straight.
The eyes may be half-closed if capable of obliterating visual distractions or close the eyes.
Breathe through the nose. Take deep breaths with gaps in between.
Let the mind be free from thoughts to make it empty. Let your mind be still. Let your mind be relaxed.
Having difficulty in emptying the mind is so usual. Improve your concentration by practicing this daily for 15 to 20 minutes.
