The Durham Performing Arts Center will present One Night Only: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Event with Al Pacino at 8 p.m. Friday, May 20th, in its brand-new, 2,700-seat, state-of-the-art theater, in the American Tobacco District in downtown Durham, NC. The 71-year-old screen and stage actor and director has won Tony Awards? for Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? (1969) and The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel (1977), a 1993 Academy Award? for Scent of a Woman (1992), and Emmy Awards? for Angels in America (2004) and You Don?t Know Jack (2010).

?One of the greatest actors in film history, Al Pacino comes to DPAC [for] One Night Only! Join us as he shares his passion for acting and directing with film clips, including some never before seen footage. Sharing backstage tales from a lifetime in the world of theater and film, Pacino will reveal the inner workings of his most personal work and will end with a question-and-answer session with the audience. The two-part set will include a moderated creative-process interview during the first half. The second half includes a one-man show where Pacino embodies some of the most memorable characters from his career?.
