RV Terminology from H to N

I think because I was in RVs and campers in most days, I have work to do some things for granted. One of those things is RV terminology. When you hear these terms every day, just think that everyone understands them. Eno River for new terminology can be a bit confusing. To clarify the things I like would to some common RV terms that you provide during your RVing experiences encounter.

H

Heat Strip ? An electric heatingElement of an air conditioner on the roof. These are normally used for pop-ups or other supporters who are not used on a stove. A strip of the cold heat is kept outside, but is not designed to actually heat the trailer.

Hitch Receiver ? The receiver easily mounted on the frame of the towing vehicle. Mountain ball slips into the receiver. There are five classes of recipients to a maximum weight smoothly handle the receiver can be based.

Weight Hitch ? Hitch and Tongue WeightWeight (TW) is the amount of pressure weighing on the hook of the vehicle from coupler of the trailer when the trailer is fully loaded for the trip. For trailers that weigh more than 2,000 kilograms TW should be 10 to 15 percent of the weight of the trailer to load. For the fifth wheel trailer hitch weight should be 15 to 20 percent of the weight of the trailer to load.

Hydraulic leveling feet ? to compensate for a camper, usually a Class A motor homes are leveling feet with hand workand any use of hydraulic lever or touch-pad is usually near the driver's seat are controlled.

I

Inverter ? An electrical device that changes12 volt DC to 120 volts alternating current. It is used to provide 120-volt appliances or electronics, such as a microwave or TV if you do not have access to an external 120-volt power source. The amount of energy that is available depends on the storage capacity of the battery (s) and the wattage of theInverter.

K

KW ? kilowatt generators are designed to. Each kilowatt equals 1,000 watts.

L

LPG ? Autogas or LPG is used for RV appliances, it is common for the burners, oven, water heater and the LP-gas refrigerator uses .. LPG in cylinders or bottles of trailers and tanks on the chassis of the motor home mounted.

LP Gas Leak Detector ? LP Gas LeaksDetectors, audible alarms to warn of a possible gas leak. They are usually located near the bottom of the motorhome, because LPG is heavier than air and will settle on the floor.

M

MH ? Abbreviation for campers.

Panel Monitor ? Allows you to control or monitor the levels in the gray water tanks, black and cool in the hand. You can also view the status of the auxiliary battery (s) and on some boards to monitor propaneLevel.

N

NADA Book ? RV edition of the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) book dealers used to determine the values ??used RV RV.

This list is not exhaustive, but if you understand these concepts you learn quickly, RV terminology.
